Study of the Rise of British Middle Class in the 18th Century

作为时代和社会进步的新兴阶层,以商人阶层、乡绅以及约曼农阶层和专业人士阶层为代表的中间阶层构成了18世纪中产阶级精英的主力,这些新兴力量的出现和崛起,不仅改变了英国传统的、等级色彩浓厚的社会结构,而且对英国近代社会转型、工业革命的开展和民主化进程的推动都产生了重大影响,同时也直接促成了19世纪更加成熟的中产阶级的形成。

As the newly arisen class which reflects the advancement of the times and society, the middle rank of class consisted of the merchants, gentries, yeoman and professionals had become the elites of the middle class in the 18th century. They changed the British traditional and hierachical social structure as well as played a crucial effect on the modern Britain＇s social transition, industrialization development and democratization. At the same time, the rise of the middle class brought about the coming of a more mature middle class in 19th century.
