This article starts with the characteristics of chemical fiber industry,material procurement and material management in three areas,analyzes the importance of information technology in chemical fiber industry,bring out ERP application is the subject of enterprise informationization.And around ERP materials management modules,and features,with Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fibre Company Limited,（hereinafter referede to as ＂Yizheng Chemical Fibre＂）,as an example,briefly explain the economic benefits of the information technology for chemical fiber industry.
