Primary Management of Blunt Laryngeal Injury

本文在总结7例钝性喉外伤病人初期处理的基础上,对钝性喉外伤的诊断及处理进行了讨论。作者强调在进行喉部检查时应避免使用直达喉镜,解除呼吸道梗阻时应避免使用麻醉插管。此外,在诊断及处理过程中,应特别注意发现经常合并发生的上消化道损伤。

Seven cases of blunt larngeal trauma are reported and their management reviewed. Two of these patients were treated with surgery and the rest with conservative measurse, The possibility of concomitant injuries of hypopharynx and cervical esophagus in associ- ation with laryngeal trauma is emphasized and urgent tracheotomy under local anethesia recommended for patients requiring airway support,in order to avoid iatrogenic complication that may develop following endotracheal intubation in such cases.
