摘要
功耗问题带来了难以解决的散热问题,虚拟化技术可以帮助计算系统提高能效比,而一些系统低功耗设计使得从软件上利用调度算法成为降低功耗的重要手段。文章介绍的虚拟环境中的协同功耗管理框架是以策略为中心的软件结构,其中包含的重要要素有平台、状态、策略、约束、机制和通道。它们之间的关系是策略通过利用机制,改变平台的状态,通过通道,满足约束,在平台上实现预期的节能效果。
Heat dissipation problem goes along with power problem. Virtualization technology can help computing system improve energy-efficiency. Some system low-power designs such as Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling mechanism make scheduling software useful. This paper introduced a framework of coordinated power management in virtualized computing environment, the center of which is policy. Other important elements are platform, state, constraint, mechanism and channel. Their relationship is policy making use of mechanism, changing the state of platform, through channel, satisfied with constraint, came up to the energy-saving expectation.
