Rising divorce rates in Britain have challenged family and marriage,with the welfare state and divorce reform of 1969 having played an important role since the end of World War Ⅱ.The divorce rate has brought a series of complicated and serious social problems to modern Britain,and resulted in a proliferation of single-parent families,adversely affecting children＇s development and social stability.In the face of the marriage and family crisis,the modern British administration has made efforts to reduce the adverse impact of the rising divorce rate.
