HSC (High Speed Cutting) is considered as a fundamental technology in advanced m anufacturing.The related concept, contents and importance to production are int roduced, and the main technical system inherent in HSC is analyzed. The presen t status and tendency of HSC technology are discussed, then, the key programs of HSC development in China are suggested.
