高职高专院校EGP与ESP相结合的英语教学模式研究

Research on the English Teaching Model of Combining EGP and ESP in Higher Vocational Colleges

高职高专院校重EGP(通用英语)轻ESP(专门用途英语)的英语教学模式并不符合高职教育的要求。高职高专英语教学应遵循语言学习规律,结合高职高专的自身特点,构建EGP与ESP相结合的英语教学模式,这样有利于形成特色鲜明的高职高专英语教学体系,也能够更好地实现高职高专人才培养的目标。

The situation of emphasizing EGP but ignoring ESP apparently does not conform to the require- ments of higher vocational education. Following the linguistic studying principle,according to the factual studying situation,in order to improve the application ability,higher vocational education should construct EGP＋ESP English teaching model. The author thinks that in order to construct the model, we should change the teaching idea and method, give the priority to cultivating the students＇ ability, accelerating the development of school-based curriculum, choosing suitable teaching materials and so on. Only in this way, can we achieve higher vocational talents training target and form distinctive characteristics of higher voca- tional English teaching system.
