从整体上看,楚国的生态环境处在第二个温暖期。考古发现和文献记载表明,优越的农业生态环境是楚国农业发展的前提,确定了中国古代南方稻作农业发展的方向,为楚国的崛起和兴盛奠定了坚实的物质基础。
The ecological environment of Chu Kingdom is generally believed in the second warm period. According to archaeological findings and historical records, the superior eco- logical environment was a precondition for the agricultural development which determined the developmental direction of rice in South China in ancient times and laid a solid foundation for the rise and prosperity of Chu Kingdom.
