Wild West Pianniu Bred in Qinghai-Tibet Agriculture Region to Provide Fattening Calves for Pasturing Area

从目前青藏地区牦牛生产的实际出发,在牧区实现与农业生产一样的方式繁育牦牛,并根据季节调整牧区牦牛数量缓解草原压力;以犏牛为突破口,实现牦牛农牧区相结合的发展方式;在农区以西门塔尔与野血牦牛杂交生产野西犏牛,为牧区提供育肥犊牛,并以野西犏牛母牛代替繁殖低下的母牦牛,实现牦牛生产方式的创新性转变。

Sarting from the reality of yak production in Qinghai-Tibet region, yak in pasture region should be bred as the mode of agricultural production and seasonally adjusted the number of the yak to remit the pressure of the grasslands. Taking Pianniu as a breakthrough, the development way of agricultural and pastoral combination was carried on yak. Wild west Pianniu was produced from Simmental and wild yak in agricultural region to provide fattening calves for pastoral region. And the male yaks with low pro ductivity was taken place with the wild west Pianniu, which led to the innovative transform of the mode of yak production.
