Susan Bassnett and her cultural translation perspective undoubtedly contributed much to the development of translation studies by shaking the cultural hegemonism in translation and making it possible for heterogeneous cultures to communicate e- qually. With the collapse of the western-centralism, it is more significant for a translator to review and redefine the translation studies as well as to cultivate his cultural sense in global context.
