摘要
对当代英国剧坛的先锋作家萨拉·凯恩剧作的研究多关注其中的战争、暴力、性虐和变态人格的极端展示等主题,而其中比较重要的性别问题因其对性别的态度而受到忽视。凯恩三个剧本中的性别关系揭示出她试图在消解性别区分的同时,仍然关注性别问题并以女性的形象来隐喻了人性的救赎和希望。
In contemporary English writer Sarah Kane's plays gender problem has always been dwarfed by grand themes like war, violence and deformation of humanity due to the playwright's attitude towards gender. A look at three of her important plays, however, exposes her concern of gender problems and the gendered metaphor of human redemptionin spite of her attempt to eliminate the gender difference.
