Challenges and Countermeasures of University Internationalization in China

综述中国大学国际化的目标、内涵和特征,分析中国大学在国际化方面所受到的来自外部世界和大学自身的挑战,以及中国大学是如何应对的,并阐明最大的挑战来自大学本身。为了具体说明中国大学目前在应对国际化挑战方面作出了怎样的应对,特以同济大学为例,在教育、科研、师资、管理和社会贡献等各方面予以详尽的展现,并对中国大学国际化的今后发展作了较全面的展望。

The targets,connotations and characteristics of university internationalization in China are introduced,and the challenges of university internationalization from the outside world and the universities themselves,which the universities in China are faced with,are analyzed.Meanwhile,the perspective that the challenges from themselves are more serious than those from the outside world is set forth.In an attempt to show clearly how the universities in China face the challenges of university internationalization nowadays,Tongji University is thus used as a case in respect of education,research,academic staff,administration and social contribution.Finally,a summary with an outlook for the future development of university internationalization in China is given.
