湖北省地方高校积极推行大学英语教学改革,形成了明显有别于过去的大学英语新型教学模式,并主要体现在推行分级教学模式、建立新型课型结构、探索网络教学途径、强化学生主体地位、拓展第二学习空间等方面。通过大学英语教学改革,湖北省地方高校大学英语课程质量和学生英语综合水平整体提高。

Hubei provincial universities strive to reform College English teaching mode, and develop a new teaching system evidently different with the traditional one, which manifests itself in adopting level-based teaching mode, creating new type of course construction, trying out Internet-based instruction, playing emphasis on the role of students, and expanding students＇ learning platform. Owing to the reform, the quality of College English course and students＇ English language skills are improved as a whole.
