Combining with the practice, the study explores the application of the tube-frame system in design for high-rise buildings, briefly intro- duces the work mechanism, the component features and applied scopes for the tube-frame system, and indicates the factual application of the tube-frame system in many high-rise buildings in China, so as to direct the design for the high-rise buildings in future.
