The paper describes the definition and c of OTN in electric power backbone communication according to network structure, equipment selection, the application model of OTN in future power system lassification of OTN equipment, then analyses the application demands network, and discusses the application strategy of OTN in this network, system capacity, network protection, etc. At last, the paper looks ahead to communication. And it is aimed at giving a new idea and reference for the increasing application demands of OTN in power system communication.
