新世纪大学生英语写作需求调查与分析——以西安武警工程学院和西北工业大学为例

A Survey and Analysis of Undergraduates' Needs of English Writing in New Century——Taking College of Xi'an Armed Police and Engineering and Northwestern Polytechnical University as Examples

近年来,我国大学生的英语总体水平有了显著提高,但他们的写作能力相对滞后。为有效开展写作教学,切实提高大学生的英语写作能力,笔者对我国西北地区两所高校107名在校大学生的写作需求进行了调查。结果表明,目前的大学英语写作教学在教学内容、教学手段、反馈方式、教师作用等方面有待改进。最后,作者根据调查结果提出了改革大学英语写作教学的具体建议。

In recent years, the general English level of Chinese undergraduates has been improved greatly, but their writing ability relatively lags behind. In order to effectively carry out the teaching of writing, and practically improve undergraduates＇English writing ability, the author makes a survey on 107 undergradu- ates＂ writing needs in two universities of China northwest region. The results show that there are still some as- pects to be improved for teaching college English writing in teaching content, teaching ways, ways of feed- back, and teachers＇function, etc. Finally, the author proposes the detailed suggestions to reform the teaching of college English writing on the basis of the results.
