"肝开窍于目"是中医最具影响的理论学说之一。从历代医家的大量文献可以看出,在生理病理上,肝脏的状况与目的功能状态有直接的联系。一旦肝脏有问题就会出现一系列目的病理状况。同时,通过目疾也可以诊断肝脏的病变,眼部的特殊改变常常预示着肝脏的异常疾病。运用肝目关系的理论还可以解释失明、眩晕、眼疾、精神障碍等多种疾病的病因病机及指导治疗。总之,肝伤致病,症状多变,疾患不一,却都不离乎目。

The ＂eye acting as the window of liver＂ is one of the most influential theories of traditional Chinese medicine.From the extensive literatures of the ancient physicians it can be seen that the status of the liver has a direct link with the the functional status of eyes in physiology and pathology.Once the liver is in throuble,there will be a series of pathological conditions of eyes.At the same time,the liver lesions can be diagnosed by appearance of eyes diseases.The special disorders of eyes can often predicate the disease of liver.With the theory of liver-eyes relations the etiology and pathogenesis of blindness,dizziness,eyes diseases,mental disorders and other diseases can be explained and the treatment can be guided.In summary,liver injury can cause diseases with many varied symptoms and different disorders,but it has a close relationship with the eyes.
