圆瑛大师与宁波佛教的法缘

The Fate between Great Master Yuan-ying and Ningbo Buddhism

圆瑛大师一生为佛教呕心沥血,法席几乎踏遍大江南北。大师自26岁至宁波天童寺参寄禅和尚始与宁波结缘,随后在宁波先后住持四大名刹。他的参学、弘法、兴办僧、民教育以及各种慈善活动的进行,大多以浙江宁波为依托。他与宁波的殊胜法缘,可谓功德圆满。宁波成就了大师,大师也为宁波佛教的复兴与发展贡献了毕生精力。

Great Master Yuan-ying has strained his heart and mind for Chinese Buddhism through his life.His stamps reached most areas in China.Since he went to Ningbo Tiantong Temple at the age of 26,Master Yuan-ying established a close relationship with Ningbo,then he had been the abbot of four famous temple in Ningbo.His Senate,Dharma,initiate monk,education,as well as a variety of charitable activities,were mostly implemented in Ningbo as the basis.Ningbo accomplished the Master,and the Master contributed to the revival and development of Buddhism in Ningbo.
