摘要
随着社会的变迁,回归后澳门的英语与葡语形成了明显的竞争。对比分析英语与葡语在人口、经济、文化、文字和政治因素上的竞争力,发现英语在澳门的竞争力和实际使用范围已超过了作为官方语言之一的葡语,具有"有实无名"的半官方地位。英语地位的提升,是社会变迁带来的必然结果,其社会地位的变化印证了社会语言学宏观研究中社会变迁对语言发展起积极作用的观点。
