针对英语船舶管理文件较多使用科技术语、名词化短语、被动语态及长句的语言特点,结合翻译实践,提出在汉译时应遵循准确性、规范性、一贯性原则,采用术语翻译"约定俗成"、名词化短语活译、被动语态转译和长句拆译等翻译技巧.这样不仅可以使译文忠实再现原文件内容,而且可以使译文通顺达意,确保文件精神得到有效贯彻和落实.

In light of frequent use of technical terms, nominalization phrases, passive voice and long sen- tences in English ship management documents, in combination with translation practices, the principles of exactness, normativeness and consistency are proposed, and such techniques as resorting to conven- tional terms, revising, conversion of the passive voice, and splitting are suggested for translating English ship management documents. These techniques ensure the faithfulness and expressiveness of translated texts and ensure effective implementation and enforcement of ship management documents.
