冷战结束以后国际关系中突出表现出来的两个特征 ,2 0 10年前将依然存在。世界形势总的方面保持缓和局面 ,国际共产主义运动继续处于低潮。但在安全领域仍然存在着固有的 ,而且还产生着新的不稳定因素。国际上对我国发展前景仍基本上看好。我国面临的机遇继续大于挑战。但是 ,挑战是巨大、复杂和严峻的。

Two striking characteristics of the international relations in the wake of the Cold War will continue their presence before 2010. The world situation, on the whole, retains relaxing and the international communist movement is still at a low tide. But there still exists inherent uncertainties and will appear new ones in the sphere of international security. Basically, China is viewed as a country with a good prospect of development. There remains more opportunities than challenges ahead of us, but the challenges are stillgreat, complex and severe.
