Function Position of Suburban Railway and the Development Prospect of Wuhan Suburban Railway

首先根据国内外市郊铁路发展历程,从规划层面提出市郊铁路的定义;然后研究市郊铁路在城市多层次轨道交通系统中的作用及其与城际铁路的分工,提出市郊铁路功能定位;最后结合武汉城市空间布局发展趋势,分析市郊铁路在武汉的发展前景,并给出市郊铁路规划布局的典型形式。

By reviewing the development process of domestic and overseas suburban railway,the author proposes the definition of suburban railway on the planning layer,then presents the function position of suburban railway by studying the function of suburban railway in a multi-level urban metro traffic and the division of labour between it and inter-city railway,and finally analyzes the development prospect of Wuhan suburban railway and poses the typical form of suburban railway planning based on Wuhan urban spatial layout.
