英语专业学生程式语知识及模仿与背诵策略 被引量:5

摘要 大量研究表明,模仿和背诵对英语学习具有重要的促进作用。在以英语为外语的学习环境下,学习者往往缺乏足够的可理解性输入,背诵是增强学习者可理解性输入的一种有效途径,尤其是对程式语的学习来说,通过背诵和模仿,学习者可以积累大量的程式语知识,有利于学习者的语言输出。对英语专业本科生的程式语知识进行考察,并对模仿与背诵策略的使用情况进行调查,结果表明,英语专业本科生对模仿策略具有较高的认可度,但在背诵方面,他们往往重视单词的背诵和记忆,而相对忽略了句子、对话或语篇的背诵和记忆,这造成了他们对程式语的掌握不够理想。 Research shows that imitation and memorization play an important role in English learning. In an EFL setting, learners lack sufficient comprehensible input, nonetheless, it is shown that memo- rization is an effective means to enhance this kind of input for learners. With respect to the learning of formulaic sequences(FSs), learners could accumulate a great amount of knowledge of formulaic se- quences through memorization and imitation, and this knowledge in turn could improve the accuracy, idiomaticity and fluency in learners' language output. A test of English majors' formulaic sequences knowledge is performed, and a survey of their use of imitation and memorization as learning strategies is conducted. It is shown that English majors commonly recognized the value of imitation in English learning but when it comes to the use of memorization strategy, they often favor the memorization of vocabulary, to the neglect of sentences, dialogues and texts, which result in their not-so-perfect mas- tery of common formulaic sequences.
