In light of the construction difficulty of high-rise pile cap suspended steel box cofferdam in major pier No. 73 of Xijiang super-large Bridge owning to the influence of deep water, dynamic water and tidal fluctuation, through comparison and selection, then deside to apply the construction method of suspended box cofferdam, the paper describes the design and construction points of the suspended box cofferdam, with a view to accumulate relevant experience. As a result, it has provided certain guidance for similar engineering.
