The paper compared and analyzed the similarities and differences between MARC21 and CNMARC description of series item from the three aspects of series specification control, series unified title cataloguing and multiple series cataloguing, and accordingly put forward some suggestions on how to improve the standardization of description of series item in the context of globalization. 4 Refs.
