月底，希望集团为自己30岁的生日举办了一次庆典，某种程度讲这也是一次“家庭聚会”。自1995年“分家”以来，“言行美好”四兄弟再次聚首。策划和筹办活动的是刘永好一年来频频曝光的女儿、被视为新希望接班人的刘畅。她对《中国企业家》解释，其中有两个目的，第一，让外人看看希望集团“言行美好”四兄弟还在不在一起，齐不齐心，第二，希望集团是不是后继有人，第二代要集体亮相。

At the end of June of this year the Hope Group held their 30 year birthday celebration;a celebration that,to a certain extent,can also be seen as a 'family reunion' of the four enterprises, Continental Hope,East Hope,West Hope,and New Hope,that split off from the Hope Group in 1995.The person behind the planning and organization of this event has been Liu Yonghao's daughter Liu Chang,seen by many as the possible successor of the New Hope Group.Liu Chang explained to this magazine that the event was meant to serve two purposes:One,to show everyone the unified spirit of the four 'Hope Brothers',Liu Yongyan,Liu Yongxing,Chen Yuxin,and Liu Yonghao.Two,to be the stage for the collective appearance of the next generation of leaders of the Hope Group family. The event was both a celebration for an enterprise as well as for a family. Within the ever changing landscape of Chinese society it seems that very few rich and powerful families are able to maintain a lasting presence. However,if we take a look at the West families such as the Rothschild,Ford,Fiat and even the Toyota family have all been able to maintain prosperity from generation to generation and even continue to grow and prosper.These family dynasties have become role models looked up to by many of China's wealthy private entrepreneurial families.The question that remains is how China's entrepreneurial families can go about creating their own hundred year long familial dynasties.
