City, movie and culture defines each other in the realization of the movie industry as well as among various kinds of movies. The tendency of the production and restructuring of Chinese motion pictures has promoted the constant development of national movie industry. The diversity of culture, the recognition of the public domain of the city, and thoughts on culture, all have increasingly important and significant relations with people~ enthusiastic cultural imagina- tion of present movie creation and even the future of Chinese movies. Due attention to the existence and function of the inter - textuality of movie and city would inevitably enhance the comprehensive development and increase the level of Chinese movies.
