The aim of this study was to explore the function of daily experience and working memory capacity in conditional reasoning.Four inference forms of five types of proposition were chosen as the experiment material, and participants' working memory capacity was measured using the Ospan task. The results showed that the main effects of both inference forms and types were significant while the main effect of working memory capacity was non-significant.Also,the interaction between daily experience and working memory capacity was non-significant. The results indicated that daily experience might influence the process of conditional reasoning by playing an essential role in the spatial representation of the premise. However, working memory capacity had no effect on conditional reasoning. In addition, people tended to prefer heuristic processes to analytic processes in conditional reasoning.
