"胡锦涛总书记在纪念改革开放30周年大会讲话"英文译稿,是中英联合翻译项目取得的第一个成果,然而译文仍存在某些瑕疵。指正"讲话"翻译错误与审校疏漏,并从涉足外宣翻译的管理者、译者、审稿者、校对者角度,提出诊治时政外宣翻译"病症"之对策,旨在促进译界真正提高时政外宣翻译质量,增强我国国际传播能力。

Flaw s still remain in the translating,review ing and proofreading of General Secretary Hu Jintao 's'Speech at the M eeting M arking the 30th Anniversary of R eform and O pening up.'T his paper first corrected the translation mistakes and pointed out the review ing and proofreading errors,then proposed four countermeasures to redress the deficiencies in publicity-oriented C-E translation of current affairs so that the quality of such type of translations can be improved significantly by the translation circle.
