食糖是关系国计民生的重要产品,既是人民生活的必需品,又是食品工业的基本原材料。制糖是与农业关联度强,且受政策影响较大的行业。制糖行业主要包括制糖生产、制糖加工和综合利用3部分。调整和优化食糖行业结构对于促进我国食品工业、农业产业及农村经济有着十分重要的意义。
The plight of the sugar industry is caused by many reasons, among them the excessive supply of sugar, outdated technology, low efficiency and poor quality. In order to brighten this major industry's future, the Chinese government has proposed to restructure four areas, namely, regional development, raw material, technology and products.
