摘要
《金色笔记》是2007年诺贝尔文学奖得主多丽丝.莱辛公认的经典作品,也是其惟一入选《西方正典》经典书目的作品。该作的经典性在于其超前时代的空间叙事。本文结合小说空间叙事理论对该小说的叙事线索进行了建构,并从空间叙事与小说的复义性、后殖民状态和人物关系三个方面进行了主题分析,认为乍看之下混乱无序的文本实际上是后现代存在主义生活状态的反映。
The Golden Notebook is a well-acknowledged classic of Doris Lessing, the 2007 Noble Prize winner for literature, and it is also the writer＇ s only work that has been listed in the booklist of literary canon in The Western Canon by Harold Bloom, the well-established American critic. This essay maintains that the classicality of the novel lies in its spatial narrative ahead of its times, traces the narration in the novel by applying spatial narratology and argues that the novel is an extraordinary spatial-narrative literary text and an exact reflection of the existentialistic being in the 1960s. It analyzes the novel from the angles of the influences of spatial narration on ambigui- ties, post-colonial status and character-space relationship respectively.
