摘要
本文以173名泰国本土汉语学习者(以下简称"泰国学生")与121名美国本土汉语学习者(以下简称"美国学生")为样本,以《汉语学习动机问卷》为调查工具,重点讨论非目的语环境下泰国学生与美国学生在学习动机上的异同。统计数据表明,泰国学生与美国学生的学习动机总体上存在显著差异,主要体现在语言层面和学习者层面,但在学习情境层面差异不显著。两国学生在学习动机上的不同特点,对有针对性地开展汉语教学,特别是非目的语环境下的汉语教学有很大的参考价值。
Based on an investigation of 173 Thai Students in the Silpakorn University and 121 American students in the University of South Carolina and Georgia State University, this paper exam- ines the differences between Thai and American students with respect to their learning motivations in a non-target language environment. The main findings are: Both Thai and American students have very strong learning motivations, but the former is stronger than the latter. And these findings of the different learning motivations in language aspects and learner aspects are very helpful to teach Chi- nese as a foreign language, especially in a non-target language environment.
