黄自林(1)的小小说虽然没有华美艳丽的语言,没有完整离奇的情节,却用平常的话,平常的事,深刻地刻画和塑造了一系列平凡而又伟大的农民形象,它深深地打动了读者,让读者鼻子发酸,眼眶湿润。他的小小说《妈嫂》已改编成电影《春江水暖》,并先后入选了全国中职校通用《语文》教材以及高中语文新教材《写作与口语交际》(高二下册)。如今,黄自林的小小说创作已告一段落,然而多年前写成的作品却悄然"遍地开花"。文学的力量是无穷的,黄自林的小小说正以它平凡的力量感动着全国千万读者。

With no gorgeous language or fantastic plots, Huang Zilin＇s mini-novels vividly describe and shape a series of char- acters of ordinary yet great farmers with ordinary events and in plain language, striking the chord with readers. His mini-novel Moth- erlike Sister-in-law has been adapted to the movie Spring Warming Stream and then compiled in the textbook of Chinese for voca- tional schools and Writing and Oral Communication （Volume 2, Senior 2） for senior middle schools. Although Huang Zilin＇s novel writing has come to a suspending stage now, his works published many years before are becoming popular nationwide. Just the other powerful literatures, Huang Zilin＇s mini-novels are exerting a far-reaching influence on readers across the whole country.
