Psychoanalysis of Claudia in Anne Rice′s Interview with the Vampire Based on Freud′s Personality Theory

为了对《夜访吸血鬼》中克劳迪娅这个人物做出新的阐释,加深读者对该人物性格及其悲剧命运的理解。从精神分析的角度,运用弗洛伊德的人格理论学说,具体分析克劳迪娅精神上本我、自我、超我的发展过程和特点,并进一步阐明造成其人格特征的成因。

Anne Rice＇s first vampire novel, Interview with the Vampire , published in 1976, has become a cult success and drawn wide international attention from the critics. From the perspec- tive of psychoanalysis, this thesis analyzed Claudia＇s id, ego and superego based on the theory of Freud＇s tripartite model of the mind, in order to reveal the progression and features of her per- sonality, and clarified the reasons for the defect of personality development. By doing so, this thesis aims to make a new interpretation of Claudia in Interview with the Vampire, promoting the readers＇ understanding of this character＇s personality and tragic life.
