As an important and vivid rhetoric device, transferred epithet has to be translated in a flexible way. This paper mainly introduces transferred epithet and conceptual blending theory, aiming to apply the later as a tool for interpretation to an- alyze the conceptual framework of the rhetoric device, so as to provide a powerful analyzing method of transferred epithet.
