摘要
传统脸谱艺术在五四新文化运动中开始遭受批判。汪仲贤、钱玄同、周作人、马少波等学者先后在不同时期,从不同角度对传统脸谱艺术作出反省与批判。这些反省与批判秉承了新文化运动以来的启蒙主义传统,揭示了传统脸谱艺术在现代时期所面临的诸多困境,但同时也暴露了这种批判自身的含混与偏颇。
Chinese traditional Face - painting began to bear critique in New Culture Movement, which reflected the conflict between traditional art and modern opinion. From then on, many scholars such as Zhou Zuoren and Qian Xuantong criticized Face - painting at different time and in different ways. Factually the theory tool behind all critique is always rationalism, and all critique embody the dilemma which Face - painting face in modern era. However, they go too far and a kind of ambiguity can be found.
