The significance of the Scottish Renaissance should never be underestimated in the formation of Scottish poetry. The movement, first burgeoning and achieving great progress in poetry, has made unmatched contribution to the founding of the Scottish national poetry. MaeDiarmid,the founder of the movement,creates the＂ Lallans＂ poetry with the purpose of expressing poetic sensation, transforming spirit and awakening souls through the Scottish national tradition,thus setting an example as a national spokesperson in the Renaissance.
