Failure analysis on break of speed reducer gear tooth and improvement measure

某厂造粒车间的减速机在运行过程中发生齿轮断齿事故,文中对齿轮断裂部位的形貌特征、裂纹走向、齿面加工状况等进行了分析。结果表明,是由于齿轮的材质不合要求及工作载荷过大导致的轮齿疲劳断裂。

In view of the accident of gear breaking during operation of speed reducer of a pelletizing unit,this paper analyzed the feature,cracking direction,machined tooth surface status of the broken area of the gear. The result shows,the off-spec material of gear and excessive working load led to the gear’s fatigue break.
