A Study of Soochow University's Literary Societies and the Literary Creation Patterns During the 1920s and 1930s

20世纪二三十年代,东吴大学学子相继成立了一些文艺社团,在文坛崭露头角,并都不约而同地于学校之外大展身手。对这种"墙里开花墙外香"的现象,以及东吴文学社团形成的原因、文学创作独特的美学取向等进行探讨与分析。

During the 1920s and 1930s,literary societies gradually came into being among the students of Soochow University.Members of the societies became recognized in the literary arena and showed their talents outside the university.The paper analyzes the phenomenon of ＂accomplishments known outside the university＂ and discusses the causes that led to the emergence of the literary societies in Soochow University and the societies’ unique aesthetics of literary creation.
