Application of Presupposition to News Language

新闻是信息时代的一个重要社会现象,新闻语言的特点是准确,简练,生动,质朴。简练在当今这个生活节奏迅速的社会显得尤为重要,新闻既要信息量大,又要惜字如金,而且要有良好的信息结构。作为语言学,特别是语用学里的一个重要话题,预设现象由于其自身特点可以应用在新闻语言中,为新闻语言服务,而且新闻语言与预设的特点也有相似之处。

News is an important social phenomenon in this information age. The features of news language are accuracy, conciseness, vividness and plainness. Conciseness seems to be quite important in this society of rapid life pace. News language requires a large amount of information, conciseness and good structure. As an important subject in linguistics and especially in pragmatics, presupposition can be applied to news because of its features. Moreover, the features of news language are similar to those of presupposition.
