运用韩礼德系统功能语法中三大纯理功能之一的概念功能理论,分析丘吉尔组建内阁就职演说在物质过程、心理过程、关系过程、行为过程、言语过程和存在过程六个方面的使用情况和特征指向,探讨语言模式后的原因或动机,以期对丘吉尔就职演说中概念功能的实现作出合理的解释。

This paper applies the ideatinal function whieh is one of the three pure funetons in Halliday＇s fuetional grammar, especially the six processes in transitivity system to the eompletion of the ideational function in Chruchill＇s inaugural address. With the purpose to analyze the utility and distinction directivity of material process, mental process, relational process, behavioral proeess, verbal process and existential process in this text is to find out the theory basis on which the text based itself. In dipicting the utilizing mode of these six processes, we attemp to exploit the motivation and reason of this mode in the expeetation of making a convincing explanation of the performance of ideational function in this text.
