论诗人气质对闻一多政治抉择的影响——以闻一多书信、年谱为基础的研究

The Impact of Wen Yiduo's Poet Quality on His Political Choices——Research based on Wen Yiduo's Written Message and Chronicle

在以往的研究中,评论界在构建闻一多诗人、学者、民主斗士这一形象特征时,往往是将这三个特征分别镶嵌在闻一多生命线性时间历程的三个时期,并且研究的资料多是闻一多公开发表的诗文。文章通过对闻一多书信和年谱的系统研究,发现闻一多不同时期的人生抉择,深受其诗人气质影响,也就是说,无论是作为诗人时期的闻一多,还是作为学者、民主斗士时期的闻一多,其本质上只是一个诗人。这决定了闻一多一生的政治抉择,因而,闻一多只是一个爱国主义者,而不是政治家更不是政客。

In the past researches, Wen Yiduo has been characterized as the images of a poet, a scholar and a fighter for democracy by the critics, at the meantime, these three characteristics acoord with the three stages in the linear time history of Wen Yiduo＇s life, most of these research materials focus on his publication of poems and essays. Based on the systematic study about Wen Yiduo＇s written message and chronicle, it has been found that his political choices are profoundly influenced by his poet quality, in other words, no matter in the period of poet, or as a scholar and a fighter for democracy, Wen Yiduo is only a poet in nature. This decides his political choices in the whole life, therefore,Wen Yiduo is bound to be a patriot only, rather than a stateman, still less a politician.
