小说《乞力马扎罗的雪》以死亡为主题,以复调多声部为叙事方式,通过画面交织、人称更替、内心活动等意识流手法凸显文本对话框架,并对小说主人公哈里临死前的精神感受、语言狂欢做出了合理解释,彰显现实死亡和艺术死亡的二元对立,并给文本增添了陌生化效果。复调叙事的存在,再次有力证明了海明威的冰山原理写作风格。
The novel of The Snows of Kilimanjaro lays its motif on death and adopts polyphony pdglossia as its narration to highlight the dialogue framework of the text through ways of stream of consciousness such as frames interweave person substitution and mental activity.It gives a reasonable explanation to the protagonist’s spiritual perception and language carnival before his death,not only embodying a counter pose of actual death and artistic death,but adding defamiliarization effect to the text.The existence of polyphony narration gives a powerful proof of Hemmingway’s iceberg principle writing style.
