Benxi City is located in the middle of East Liaoning Mountains and Hills In the area,distributes metamorphic shale,marine carbonate rock, coal bearing series, volcanic rock series and Quarternary loose sediments, and has experienced multiple superimposed tectonism and multiple magmatic intrusion As a result, Benxi City is plentiful of tourism earth science resources Karst landscape includes well known Benxi Karst Cave,Wangtian Karst Cave, Xihulong Karst Cave and Tieshashan Karst Cave Mountain and water landscape includes Guanmenshan Mt , Jiudingtiesha Mt , Wunu Mt , Laotuding Mt , Dashi Lake, Guan Yinge Reservoir, Hunjiang Reservoir The outcroping strata are relatively complete, which can be taken as a standard strata for the earth science teaching In addition,there are hot springs, man's activity and culture sites So Benxi City has great potentialities in the development of tourism earth science resources Then, the paper proposes a set of suggestions on the development of tourism earth science resources in Bnxi City
