Humanistic Spirit and Creative Talents Cultivation——Discussion about Doubts Arising from Qian Xuesen

随着社会的发展和国际竞争的日趋激烈,我们对创新人才的需求也越来越迫切。但是当前创新人才培养模式出现偏差,过于注重专业教育而忽视通识教育;过于注重专业素质而忽视人文素质;过于注重教育的功利性而忽视教育的价值性,导致我们无法培养出社会所需要的杰出人才。因此,从创新人才培养本身来看,要培养杰出人才,就必须一方面强化人文精神教育,加强通识教育;另一方面逐步消解学习的工具性、功利性。

With the social development and ever fierce global competition, the demand for creative talents becomes stronger. However, at present the mode for innovative talents training is infeasible. More attention is paid at speciality education, speciality quality and the utilitarian of edueation, but general education, humanistic quality and education values are neglected, so how can we bring about outstanding personnels needed by the society？ Such personnels should be eultivated by the strenghtening of humanistie spirit education and general education and gradually eliminating functional and utilitarian study.
