张长青的《文心雕龙新释》博采百家,独树一帜,他以中国传统的"天人合一"的宇宙观和方法论为指导,在对《文心雕龙》原文逐字逐句逐篇进行注解、翻译的基础上,对各篇的思想观点以及全书的理论体系作了深入系统的诠释,力图还原刘勰原文本义及中国传统文论的原初体系,标志着张长青老师《文心雕龙》研究的新水准、新境界,也体现了我国当代《文心雕龙》研究的新动向、新成果。

The New Explanation of ＂the Literary Heart and the Carving of Dragons＇by Zhang Changqing collected the essences from others and took a distinctive attitude of his own. Cuided by Chinese traditional world out-look and methodology of the harmony between man and nature, he annotated and translated the original book word by word and systematically explained the ideological point of view of each article and the theoretical system of the whole book. He tried to restore the tree meaning of Liu Xie＇ s original book and the original system of tradional Chinese literature, which symbolized his new standard and his new realm in the study of ＂the Literary Heart and the Carving of Dragons＂. It also embodied the new tendency and new achievements of the research of this famous book.
