Coastal Universities should grasp the rare historical opportunity that Jiangsu coastal development has risen to the level of a national strategy and give a full play to their own talent advantages and academic advantages so as to contribute to the new-round spanning development as well as local economic and social progress. This article, based on analyzing the main measures and working characteristics of Nantong University serving local development, summarizes the specific measures taken by Jiangsu coastal universities to serve local economic and social development.
