血管内皮生长因子B生物学功能的研究进展

Update of the biological functions of vascular endothelial growth factor-B

血管内皮生长因子B(vascular endothelial growth factor-B,VEGF-B)是VEGF家族中的重要成员,是1996年发现的该家族第3个因子。近年来,VEGF-B的生物学功能逐渐成为研究热点。VEGF-B在人体许多组织中均有不同程度表达,通过与受体的特异性结合从促进血管生成,神经发生、营养与保护以及调节脂质代谢等3方面发挥其生物学功能。文中就VEGF-B的生物学功能研究进展作一综述。

Vascular endothelial growth factor-B （VEGF-B） is an important member of the VEGF family, the third factor of the family discovered in 1996. The biological functions of VEGF-B have become a hot topic of studies. VEGF-B is expressed differently in different tissues of the human body. By binding with its specific receptor, it can promote angiogenesis, stimulate neurogenesis, act as atrophic factor, protect neuros from apoptosis, and regulate energy metabolism. This review focuses on the progress in resent researches on the biological functions of VEGF-B.
