廖仲恺是第一次国共合作中发挥至关重要作用的核心人物,他得到孙中山及共产国际、中国共产党各方的信任,主持国民党改组工作。在国民党第一次全国代表大会后成为国民党党务领导人,在其领导的中央工人部、农民部、黄埔军校等部门重用共产党员,坚决反击右派分裂国共合作的图谋,巩固和发展了国共党内合作。在广东工农运动和军人运动中,构建了由廖仲恺领导、中共广东区执委策划、共产党员负责实施的国共合作的典范模式。

Liao Zhongkai was the core figure who played a crucial？ role？ in？ the first collaboration between the KMT and the CPC. He gained trust from Sun Yat - sen, the Comintern and the CPC, when he presided over the work of restructuring Kuomintang. After the KMT＇s First National representatives＇ Congress, Liao became one of the party affairs＇ leaders of the KMT, he trusted communists with im- portant positions in the departments which he led, such as the Central Workers Department, the Central Farmers Department and Wham- poa Military Academy. In Guangdong province＇s worker - peasant movement and military personnel movement, there formed an exemplar model of the KMT -CPC cooperation,which was led by Liao Zhongkai, planned by the committee of Guangdong area of the CPC, and executed by communists.
