摘要
英汉指示代词在语言和意义功能方面存在着差异,英汉互译过程中,不可能形成——对应的关系。译者应注意它们的意义功能及两种语言的表达习惯,选择相应的翻译策略。
English and Chinese demonstrative pronouns differ in linguistic form and meaning function. In English-Chi- nese and Chinese-English translations, it is impossible to translate word to word. Translators should be aware of their meaning function and conventional expressions in the two languages and choose proper translation strategies.
